Junior Black Belt Program for Kids

  Age Groups

Our Junior Black Belt Program is divided into three age groups:

  • 3 and 4 year olds (Tiny Tigers)
  • 5 and 6 year olds (Little Dragons)
  • 7 to 10 year olds (Pre-Teens)

Our experience has taught us that teaching Kempo, especially to young children, requires this age separation for the students to gain the maximum benefit from each lesson attended.

  Progression

The youth progression is such that the students are constantly guided towards improving themselves both physically through their martial skills, and mentally through the betterment of themselves as individuals. During each class the instructor is evaluating students on their participation that day, providing incentive and reward to students that exercise good listening and self-control while working hard throughout the class. Students will advance through our belt ranking system starting at white belt and ending the curriculum at a Junior Black Belt.

Belt Ranks:

  1. White Belt
  2. Yellow Belt
  3. Orange Belt
  4. Purple Belt (Black Uniform Available)
  5. Blue Belt
  6. Blue Belt with Black Stripe
  7. Green Belt (Red Uniform Available)

It is a highly effective blend of Karate and Kung Fu techniques that offer an excellent form of self-defense for all age groups. Students learn foundational techniques that will later be built upon as they progress towards their Junior Black Belt. These classes are structured to promote healthy habits for life including proper warm up, stretching, and cardio vascular exercise while focusing on self-discipline, self-control, and effective self-defense. The goal of the Junior Black Belt Program is to promote strong and confident youths.
